Help the OHS pay for my groundbreaking surgery
Woof! I’m Chewy. I’m a male shih-tzu who was brought into the Ottawa Humane Society by City of Ottawa by-law in late July as a stray. When I arrived at the OHS my leg was pretty badly hurt and I wasn’t able to use it anymore. I appreciated all the time the staff spent trying to figure out if my leg could be repaired. While I waited they vaccinated and neutered me, and did some dental treatments. I also got to spend lots of time cuddling up with my foster volunteer!

After a few weeks, the staff decided to try to surgically repair the torn cruciate ligament in my knee. I’m a bit of a superstar at the OHS now, as this was the first time this surgery was attempted at the shelter! I have returned to my foster home to recover and I was told I will get at least six more weeks of being pampered before I am ready to look for my forever home.

Please help Chewy, and other animals like him in need of emergency animal treatment, by making a donation.
